Resin- Cleaning and maintenance.

Cleaning - Resin can be cleaned either with use of power brush alike westermann (to remove moss) or with fairly low pressure wash. Moss growth on resin can seriously damage the surface and it should be regularly removed or controlled with chemicals which are safe to use on resin. Power brush cleaning can remove moss and other dirt from the surface with minimum risk of causing any surface loss. Cleaning with pressure washer can leave strikes or lead to surface damage if too high pressure is used. When pressure washing you should only use flat surface cleaner or wide spray pattern flat nozzle. Never use turbo nozzle on resin. When cleaning with pressure washer adjust the pressure only high enough to gently remove any moss, often you'll have to pass over same area multiple times until moss detaches, if too high pressure is used this will lead to surface damage and strikes will be visible.

Softwash - sodium hypochlorite based products can be used however at low concentration, always test a small area first, take extra care if working on fresh / new resin surface. Alternatively biocide based product can also assist in cleaning and prevent organic regrowth for some time. Do not mix chemicals, choose one.

When using chemicals always refer to health and safety instructions and use appropriate protective equipment.
