Pressure Washing - Imprinted concrete is easily cleaned with pressure washing and any nozzle can be used, there's no risk of damage unless the surface is already damaged. No high pressure is required for effective cleaning.

Softwash (Sodium Hypochlorite Based) - We recommend using chemicals to enhance cleaning, especially if the surface is being prepared for sealing.

Sealing - Sealing the surface is crucial for imprinted concrete to prevent wear, maintain color, and avoid repairs. A sealed surface results in a clean and slightly wet appearance. If neglected, assess the damage and consider sealing, color tinting, or filling and coloring the damages. An exact color match may be challenging for dual-color or lighter/darker tone surfaces. Always follow safety instructions when using chemicals.

Sealing Prep and Process - Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned before sealing. Replace old silicone in contraction joints if needed. Allow 1 day for the surface to dry completely, and ensure no rain is forecasted for 6-8 hours after completion. Apply sealant with a sprayer (for clear coat only), or with a soft bristle broom or roller (for tint or antislip). 1 coat may be enough for surfaces sealed within 5 years, but 2 or more coats may be necessary for older, not regularly sealed surfaces. Test a small area for color match and tint amount when using tint. Mix a sufficient amount of product at once to avoid color differences. Mix well and regularly to prevent tint from settling. When using antislip, mix well to prevent settling, spread evenly to avoid lumps, and don't add too much to avoid visible excess. Avoid excess sealant on the deeper sections of the driveway pattern. Refill contraction joints with builders silicone after sealing.
